PERANCANGAN MODEL DATABASE SISTEM INFORMASI AKADEMIK BERBASIS UNIVERSITY RESOURCES PLANNING (URP) MENGGUNAKAN UNIFIED MODELING LANGUAGE (UML)

Abstract

The number of university continues to grow, however, this increase is not proportional to the increase in the quality of services by the university., And many universities are experiencing deterioration even bankruptcy. Object of research conducted by the University of Sultan Fatah Demak that has three faculties and 11 courses. The purpose of this research is to build a database design model based academic information system and University resources planning (URP) by using the unified modeling language (UML). The method used in this study include observation, interviews, literature and database design using tools Pecstar Diagrammer. The results of the research is a database design model university-based academic information system resiources planning (URP) with Pecstar Diagrammer tool. This model can be considered for the management of universities in developing academic information systems in organizations under its management.
